COOK -GBEE d DRMTURE C0.| f Next Door to The Press and Standard * ^ PHONE No. 8 Y 7 OBITUARY* Died February 21,1910 in a Sani tarium at Columbia, S. C., where he ; had been under treatment for only . two short months, our dear father, James A. Finder bis remains were j brought io hi* fiafne near Waiter- J boro Tues>lay afternoon, where he was kept until Friday afternoon and then was taken to Zion cemetery, where he was laid t<r rest. All his children were present except one, his eldest son, 8. W. Linder of Chat tanooga. Term., who did not receive the telegram. It is hard at all times to give up our loved ones, but it is sad indeed to have one die far away from those who loved him, with not one of his own family near to minister to his w’ants, then to add gloom and sor row to our broken hearts, to think we were all expecting him to come home well and strong in a few days, as the doctor had said that he would 1 be well enough to be mover! in that time and brought home. Our hearts w’ere glad thinking that very soon he would be able to come to see tis in our distant homes, when here came a telegram stating that he had pawed i away. I say this is vei y sad for us— his wife and children; but God knows best, and to His will we must sub missively bow though sad and heart broken we are. If we could have •een how our poor father was to be taken from us we would have died rather than let him go from our side, but the doctors said it was the only chance, and we had to let him ffo, which we regret very much. Oh dear father, thou art gone And left us here to mourn Our home ties are broken. And how it dims our aching eyes! When we think of years ago, Of our peaceful happy home. And this sorrow now has come. Oh ourGiear father has gone. A few more years shall roll A few’ more seasons come ; And we shall be with him at rest, ; Asleep w ithin the tomb. } His sorrowing daughter. Gertrude. JEWELRY, WATSHES, CLOCKS, ETC. J.
