MAKING GOOD AT MULLINS.
Tf$ Methodist church last Sunday
was the scene of two most excellent
sermons, in fact as good as one could
wish for. In tne morning, the pastor,
Rev. J. L. Daniel, filled the pulpit
and spoke to a crowded house. Mr
Daniel seemed to have triet^ himself
on this occasion, and the rapt atten
tion with which he held his audience
proved that he succeeded in his un
dertaking. There was hardly a
vacant seat in the house, and fof a Ashton was at the guest »
-while it looked as though it would ! Crosby Nunday P. M.
be necessary to throw open the doors
of the Sunday school room. "Re
sponsibility and Influence 7 ’ was the
subject, and it proved a good one in
the speaker’s hands.—Mullins Enter-

who cited numerous examples of
how, good roads had been built over
the country. His address was at
tentively listened to and he was fol
lowed by Hon. D I. §mith who
favored |iermanent roads as was the
purpose, of the Act. CTCummings
was of the opinion that we have
plenty of first class road building
material at hand.
