the Walter boro Civic League rather
upbraided us recently on account of
the frequent references we have
been making to the League and its
work in Walterboro. This lady took
occasion to say that the men of* the
town were to blame for their wives
not attending the meetings; that
they had discouraged their wives and
belittled the work of the League, and
that if the men w ould favor their ef
forts as they should the League!
