Any white mar or woman, boy or girl, of good repute, in the ^tate of South Carolina is eligible to enter this Great Popularity Voting Contest. Clip the Nomination Plank and fill it in with your name or that of a friend, and send it to The Press and Standard Contest Department today. It costs you nothing to vote—it costs your friends nothing extra to vote for you. ' > No votes issued for payments other than those scheduled. No employe of The Press and Standard, or mepiber of his or her family, will be permitted to participate in this contest as a candidate. ^ . In case oi a tie, the value of the prizes will be equally divided. Votes once issued to one candidate can not be changed to the credit of another. Candidates and their friends may secure subscriptions anywhere. A committee of unimpeachable public men will be chosen to judge the finish of this contest, and will assemble for that purpose immediately after the close of the contest. Any question that may arise between contestants will be de* terimned by the Contest Management, and its decision will lie al>- aolute and final. Anyone who was taking The Press and Standard at the time this contest started will be classed as an old jiubsorilier. A subscription will nof be counted as new if it is simply trans ferred from one member of a fwnily or household to another. Right is reserved to reject tnename of any candidate for cause.
