FILL OUT THE NOMINATION BALLOT published in this issue and send same to the Contest
Manager of The Press and Standard. Each Contestant is entitled to one Nomination Ballot, good for 1,000
votes. Contestants can nominate themselves. They do not have to be subscribers to The Press and Standard.
There are no obligations uj>on entering this contest, and it costs you nothing to try it Send in your name or
that of a friend today.
Who b Eligible.
Any white mar or woman, boy or girl, of good repute, in the State of South Carolina is eligible to enter
this Great Popularity Voting Contest Clip the Nomination Blank and fill it in with your name or that of a
friend, and send it to The Press and Standard Contest Department today. It costs you nothing to vote—it costs

No votes issued for payments other than those scheduled.
No employe of The Press and Standard, or member of his or her family, will be permitted to participate
in this contest as a candidate.
In case of a tie, the value of the prizes will be equally divided.
Votes once issued to one candidate can not be changed to the credit of another.
Candidates and their friends may secure subscriptions anywhere.
A committee of unimpeachable public men will be chosen to judge the finish of this contest, and will

this contest started will be classed as an old subscriber.
A subscription will not be counted as new if it is simply trans
