Smoaks, Sept. 17.—Rev J C Har rison, after spending hia vacation at home with hia parents, Mr and Mrs J Z Harrison, has returned to the Bible College at Meridian, Mias. Mr Harrison will be greatly missed in this vicinity, as he delivered many able and interesting sermons during his stay at home. We hope he will have a successful term. Miss Love Bennett of Ashton has returned from Paris Mountain very much improved in health and is teaching music at this place. We are very glad to see Miss Bennett so much improved as she way very thin when she went to the mountains and now she weighs 172 lbs. Miss Leila Padgett has been very ill, but glad to say she is improving. Robert Pad *ett happened to a very serious accident Tuesday, by having his mule run away with him, throwing him out and causing him to get a painful injury- Misses Love and Fairy Bennett visited relatives at Ashton last Saturday and Sunday. Miss Lula Strickland from near Williams spent Saturday night with her sister, Mrs C Z Padgett. Mr and Mrs H K Strickland of Lodge are visiting the latter’s parents, Mr and Mr J D Miley.
