DEATH OF LITTLE OHO FOLK
John Otto Folk, boo of Mr and
Mrs J J Folk, of Ehrhardf, South
Carolina, was born JtUy W*;,
and July :H>, elevtn
years aud four days.
Little <Hto was one of the bright-1 ^' hool WjwJ over Brother I !tn
(St, moct intellectual boys I have
ever kuowu, although he wa« a child
in years, he had U>e mind of a man.
At home, in school, on the play
ground, be %as the same kind, lot-
iug, obedient child, always cheerful
He had many friends wbd loved bitji,
and who will miss his smiling face.
For three weeks before hu death
he suflered greatly, but never mur
mured. He was not afraid to die, for
he had given his little heart to Jeaus
at the beginning of his illness. Just
before his death he said that he was
going to die and begged his father to
go with him in the boat sent for hin.
Then closing his eyes he peacefully
went with the angels, who carried
him across the “river of death” saft-
into the arms of Him who said,
“Suffer little children to come u ito
me.” Taking with him the bruised
^nd bleeding hearts of father, mother,
sisters and brothers.
Those who stood around little
Otto s death-bed say that his was the
most glorious death they have ever
witnessed.
Verily, it seems th.it (>od always
takes the brightest jewels first, bnt
He knows best and we can only say,
“His will be done-”
It is hard to give him up, but so
sweet to know that death is not all.
How comforting are the words of
Tennynon:
Why should we weep for those who
die?
They fall—their dust returns to dust
Their souls shall live eternally
Within the Mansions of the just.
o
They die to live; they sink to rise,
They leave this wretched mortal
shore.
But brighter suns and bluer skies,
Bhali smile on them forevermore.
Why should we sorrow for the dead?
Our life on earth is but a span;
They tread the path that ail must
tread,
They die the common death of man?
The noblest songster of the gale
Must cease when winter's frowns a(>-
pear,
The reddest roes is dun and pale;
When Autumn tints the changing
3 ear.
The fairest (lower on earth must fade.
The brightest hopes on earth must
die.
Why should we mourn that man wss
made
To droop on earth but dwell on high?
The soul, the eternal, soul must reign
In wor'd’s devoid of pain aud strite,
Then why should mortal man com*
plain
Of death, which leads to happur
life?
His Teacher.

Nervous
Prostration
a
“I suffered so with Nervous
Prostration that I thought there
was no use trying to get well. A
friend recommended Dr. Miles’
Nervine, and although skeptical
at first, I soon found myself re
covering, and am to-day well.”
MRS. D. I. JONES,
5800 Broadway, Cleveland, O.
Much sickness is of nervous
origin. It’s the nerves that
make the heart force the blood
through the veins, the lungs
take in oxygen, the stomach di
gest food, the liver secrete bile
and the kidneys filter the blood.
If any of these organs are weak,
it is the fault of the nerves
through which they get their
strength. Dr. Miles' Nervine is
a specific for the nerves. It
soothes the irritation and assists
in the generation of nerve force.
Therefore you can hardly miss
it if you take Dr. Miles’ Nervine
when sick. Get a bottle from
your druggist. Take it all ac
cording to directions, and if it
docs not benefit he will return
your money.

Walterboro, S. C„ October 9, 1908.
On August 30, ’08, I contracted cold and developed Grippe and
was laid up fiive weeks. My bronchial tubes were badly af
fected, which caused me to cough continually and prevented
my sleeping at night. I tried all the old remedies which usually
gave me relief but failed.
Johnson’s Chil^and Fever Tonic was recommended to me as a
> guaranteed cure for grippe and colds and I was purse aded to
fry it. After taking it according to directions for one week, I
found myself entirely cured of my cold and grippe, ami my sys
tem in first-class condition. I regard it as one of the best medi
cines I have ever used ir my family and can Cheerfully recom
mend it to anyone suffering from a
debilitated system.
