BIRTHDAY DINNER.
The birthday dinner given at the
borne of O’Quin was one of the most
enjoyable days spent with that family
for some sometime. All the children
and grandchildren were present and
all seemed to enjoy the day to the
falleat extent Mrs O’Quin gave
this dinner in celebration of the
fiftieth birthday.

thing passed off very nicely.
We are very sorry to know George
and Jasper Carter are sick with lever,
bat hope they will soon be quite well
again.
We notice that several of our Wil
liams folk attended court in Waiter-
boro lait Monday.

We were sorry to see O W Padgett
leave ns a few days ago for Waiter-
boro where he goes to take up some
studies under his uncle, Prof Heber
Padgett, bnt we hope for him much
success.
We are glad to see Berry Bennett

DEATH OF AN INFANT
On July 18th 1009 the angel of
death entered the, home of Mr and
-MrsC H Yeno and claimed their baby.
LitPe Earl Eugene was only five
months old, and had been ill for two
months before God called him to be
one of His little angels.
What the little one suffered no or e
c-m tell, and we are glad to know
that he is now M Safe in the arms of
Jesus’' where no pain can enter.
Little Earl had been given to the
Lord in baptism, and his little body
was laid to rest in the Ravenel Ceme
tery to await the resurrection morn.

JACK CATTLES AT HOME.
(Jottageville, July 30.—Mr Jack
Cattles, who has bern in the hospital
for the insane for a year or two, was
brought home a few days ago. His
mind is perfectly good, but unfortu-
nitely, he has developed a severe
