and they had a grand time.

terboro on Thursday last.
Mrs H Tuten has been visiting

Mrs R E Jones of Walterboro
spent last week at Lodge with

Malcom Wood has broken the
record killing alligators and rat
tle snakes.' He killed nine
alligators in one day. all large
ones; one rattle snake measuring
six feet and several others, some
larger than the former and some
■mailer, bat he did not kill all
the snakes in one day.
T J Simmons has tome very
fine cotton, which will make
from one and a half to two bales
por acre, it is lapping in five five
foot row s and is as high as your
head.
F N Jones has the champitu

fifty bushels per acio. Joe Jones
also has some equally as good.
P M Johns visited Ashton
yesterday. He reports crops in
his section good.
