On next Saturday the Farmers’ I'nion will have a rally here on the Lbernezer church grounds. It has been stated that there is a possibility of two thousand people being present on that oc casion. There will be three such gatherings in this county during the summer. Some distinguished gentlemen aro expected to ad dress the multitude on matters * pertaining to the farmers best iuterests. The memorial exercises here on May UTth, was a grand suc cess. Ther were at least live Imndred people present . A table one hundred and twenty feet in length had been erected, and old people said that they had never seen such an abun dance of prepared food in their lives before. Rev F O S Curtis of Waiter- boro has been engaged to conduct three revival meetings in this county during next month (July.) He will assist in a meeting here, beginning the third Sunday in July. All are hopeful of a good meeting. There was an automobile party given in honor of Miss Thomas on Monday evening, from 9 to 11 p. m. by one of the young men here. It was enjoyed by every one. W W Weekly of Varnville were seen on the streets of our town Sunday. Dan Godley of 40th Bull St. is spending a few days at Waiter- boro and Sniders, with relatives and friend*.
