NEWS FROM MCNEILS.
-MoNeilf, *_M. DearK4+taf-
the n:au is allways whining
about hard 'he man|that
—You should have been with us
last Thursday, a party of about
thirty from this place attend • l a
a picnic at I’eniel church at
Crew’s Ford near Islandton.
Messrs Stone and Patrick took
us over on a flat car attached to
their log train and every body
enjoyed the ride. We were met
at the head of the road at Deep
Creek by three wagons driven by
Bros* A Q Lyons, M It Stone and
J G Yarn and had a pleasant
ride of about a mile to the
church.
We were welcomed at the
church by a host of dear rela
tives and friends, ome of whom
we had not seen in a long time *
It does one good to get back once
in a while to the scenes of our
childhood joys and sorrows, to
meet old friends, and young peo
ple grown up, were just a day or
two ago seemingly, little frolick-
ing shavers, men and women
that we left as children a few
days ago, now leading their
children by their hands.
After greetings and a few
minutes chat, all went in the
church and were treated to some
of the best music that the coun
try affords, led by i | 'ather Stone
at the organ accompanied by a
large Choir of well trained voices.
Later devotional services was
conducted by Bro. Elkins of
Hampton, after which he deliver
ed a hue address on the value of
Sunday school training for the
advancement of the church*
Another fine address, almost
we might say a sermon, w’as de
livered by Bro. J S Grilhn of
Walterboro, who did his very
best and you know Mr Editor
that it w as good .
After the speaking was over,
the men swapped yarns around
the roots of the Old Oaks, while
the ladies prepared a feas., such
as onl} one place can furnish, at
least that is what we believe;
and every body did it full jus
tice,. There was enough left for
supper and our only regret was
that we were not able to stay
and help finish it*
If a community is to be judged
by the way that the people care
for the graves of their dead, this
must be an ideal community,
one big family; for the beautiful
cemetery at Peniel is a model
that others might copy with
advantage.
Mrs It F Huggins, Miss Blanch
Leach and Master James Hug
gins, of Walterboro, are visiting
relatives here this week *
Miss Minnie Carter of Mt*
Carmel section, is spendig a
while with Mrs J T Yarley . Miss
Bertha Harvey has gone home
after spending a few weeks with
her sister Mrs Walter Stone.

Difett What You Eat Then You Can Eat What
You Like.
You ooee could eat anything you
wanted, and your stoinaeh would
digest it.
Hut now there’s some things which
your stomach won’t digest. Your
stomach absolutely refuses to accom
modate you when you eat certain
food—so you have been forced by your
stomach to eat food which you de
tested, and pass up those delicacies
that you would have really enjoyed.
There is now a way to eat any
thing you like, if you will let
Kodol digest it.
Kodol will do this, too. It won’t
tslk back or command, but will go
right ahead with its work and digest
all the food you eat. Kodol will let
you eat anything you like.
Kodol will do exactly what your
stomach does, when your stomach is
well and strong, and more, when it
is tired or out of order.
Kodol is composed of exactly the
same juices as found in a healthy
stomach, and therefore will do the
tame work as the stomach, when it is
well and strong—the only difference
is, Kodol never gets tired—and Kodol
is the onlv digestant today, that wiU
digest all food and do it aa com
