Special:— Though Easter Sunday is numbered with the past events still 1 cannot forbear to make a few remarks rela tive to it; and the first is the beauti ful and artistic decorations of the Episcopal church, for which the ladies cannot be too highly commend ed. There were axelias, violets, roses and Easter lilies in profusion; these with the white linen drapery, transformed the church into a per fect bower of beauty; a fitting tem ple in which, to commemorate the Resurrection of our Savior. The Rector gave us a most force ful and beautiful discourse, reveal ing more than ever his desire to fol low in His Steps, and touching the hearts of his hearers. The Offertory by Mrs. E. W. King, "Rock of Ages" was l>eauti- fully rendered. The little chapel on Toogoodoo was also prettily decorated. Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Clement attended the serv ices that afternoon. Little Marion Prentiss Sanders reached the sixth mile post on life's road the 16th and celebrated it by having many Jtttle friends to par take of her nospitality. The little ones enjoyed the cakes, fruit punch and chocolate beyond expression; al so the many interesting games which were played under the instructions of the Miases Prentiaa, aunts of the little hostess, and when parting time came they all wished that birthdays came oftener. Mrs. E. L. Chassereau returned home Tuesday from a visit to rela tives near Bamberg. Miss Nonie Dodd returned from a visit to Cottageville Monday. The Methodist church has been neatly ceiled, which adds so much to its apperance. and to the comfort of the congregation. The Rev. Sassard gave a splendid sermon on keeping the Sabbath day holy, which is so often regarded as a day of pleasure, that it was a word fitly spoken. Mrs. Arthur Perry visited Char leston Monday. Everybody is smiling down here,-- even the trips to the city for the beautiful ugly creations called “hats" do not bring frowuu. More Anon. AYER. “At 75 vcarg of age 1 became so run-down and weak that I was discouraged. 1 had Uk3ii many different tonic* and medicines which were prescribed for me without gaining in strength. A friend advised me to try Vinol, saying that il was a cod liver and iron medicine sold on s positive guarantee to benefit or money refunded. 1 decided to 4o so and I am glad to. say that It built me up wonderfully. I gained in strength until 1 felt Uke a new man. 1 consider Vinoi the best tonic in the world for elderly people.” Jacob Toung, Norristown, Pa. This is *n3ther instance which demonstrates the remarkable power of Vinot to create strength j and build op health for old peo ple after all other means have failed. As we have yet to learn of an old person who baa ever taken Vinol and has not been benefited by it we unhesitatingly say to any feeble old person in this town, come and get a bottle of Vinol and trv it. If it does you no good we will return vonr money. We make this offer to show our faith . John M Klein, Druggist, Walterl'oro.
