Lodge, Apr. 9. Special:—Well
the good old summer time has
-eerae at last although it some
what promises some more winter
tonight, and it is also raining.
How pretty the good old summer
time is when everything is in
bloom and all the trees have on
their new green coats and the
flowers throw up their little
head* and kirn the ain’t rays,
then everything teems to be
happy, even the mocking bird*
at they go about ther daily tasks
singing their tweet -melody.
The fruit crop promises to be
finein this tection, especially
the peech crop, if they are sot
killed by tbe late oold.
I gueat picnics will be out in
full bloom now seen, and 1 dare
my this will be a happy season
for both young and old.
Rev. 0. A. Martin preached a
very able and interesting sermon
at Carters Ford band ay', he
preached with great force and
vigor to quite a large crowi. It
was enjoyed by all present.
Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Bishop
and little son, Lonnie, of Ehr-
hardt visited the later’s parents,
Mr and Mrs. W. H. Hiert, Sun
day.
