the second Friday in April. The

Bennie Easterlin, who has
been spending some time in The
City by the Sea, has returned
home.

paper abont the whiskey ques
tion, but can not understand why
the girls will run down a whiskey
dnnker so bad when they are
talking to a boy who does not
drink at all, and just as soon as
that one leaves her, and one who
drinks comes along, if he is not
to drank that she it afraid of
him, she will jump at the chance
of going with him. Let them
not go with any boy who drinks
or smokes at all. Now girls if
you are accustomed to going

stop keeping company with them
and try going with the sober

flying visit last Saturday.
Miss Carrie E. Weekley,
teacher of the Sniders school,
paid her hpme a flying visit last
Saturday aud Sunday.
Miss Yara and Lizzie Herndon
spent Saturday night with the
Misses Bishop.
There was another work day at
the Baptist parsonage last Tues
day. Everybody carried their
baskets and enjoyed the contents.
We were soiry to learn of the
death of Mr, Joe Padgett of
Ruffin, last Wednesday. The
entire family has our sympathy.
