No. 1., A. G. O., the Annual Inspec
tion and muster of this company
will be fnade on Monday, March 22,
1909, at the Armory at 10 o’clock A.
M. The inspection will be made by
Col Charles H Cabanias for the War
Department, and for the State by
Col. William T. Brock.
(2) All members are hereby or
dered to report at the Armory at 9
o’clock, on that day. clothed in the
tallowing uniform: Olive Drab,
campaign hat and leggings and black
shoes. At the Armory, each man
will be equipped with a cartridge
belt, the canteen and the haversack;

CARNIVAL A GRAND SUCCESS
Everybody in Walterboro both
big, little, old and ybung enjoyed
the carnival which was in our midst
all of last week.
The Maryland Shows were under
the auspices of the Fire department
here, who were to receive fifteen
per cent of the net proceeds besides
one and one half dollars, apiece from
the confessions, all of which amount
ed to in the neighborhood of one
hundren dollars.
The members of this carnival were
found to be upright in every particu
lar and perfect order waa maintain
ed throughout the entire week.
They left here last mondsy mom
ing for Summerville where they
will remain for several days.

The Second Quarterly Conference
of the Methddist church was held at
this place last Sunday morning in
the church immediately after the
very able and interesting sermon
preached by Rev Walter I. Herbert.
Presiding Elder of the Charleston
district.
Mr Herbert is a very able prach-
er and to listen to his sermon last
Sunday was a treat, however, tl e
sermon was not all that was enjoyed
for Mrs J. H. Kelly sweetly rendered
the solo. “Face to Face.”
At this conference two delegates
were elected to attend the District
Conferenee which is to be held at
Ellenton, the 14th of April. Those
who were elected were: Messrs A.
J. Lemacks, and C. M. Grace; Alter
