by his vacation upon his health.

will be glad to learn of this recovery
from his recont illness, sufficiently
to entertain the hope of meeting his
congregation Sunday.

them weighing 4 5-8 pounds. Just
come down, Mr. Editor, and see

oranges and bananas. We even
have the fruits, you see of the trop-
ics. 1 guess down here resembles

GEORGE BEACH DEAD.
A FORMER COLLETONIAN DIES IN
SAVANNAH.
A telegram was received yester
day morning announcing the death
in Savannah yesterday morning of
George Beach, after a very brief
illness. His remains will be brought
to Stokes this morning and interred
at Zion church immediately after the
arrival of the morning train. ..
Mr Beach moved to Savannah
about eight years ago where he has
been in business. It was not known
that he was so ill till a telegram was
received Monday calling his brothT- -
era, E. C. and Tom to Savannah.
They reached there before he died.
He is survived by his widow ahd by
the other members of the family in
this county: His sister, Mre w -
Way, Mrs J. F. Fogarty. Mre Allan
Ritter, and his brothers, E. C., Jom,
Bill and Barney. The news of his
death was received with profound
regret in town and county.
