P. Lesesne, which took piace at the home of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Chaplin’s Monday afternoon at two o’clock. The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. Tracy Walch according to the rites of the Epis- opal church. Miss Emily Bellinger was maid of honor and Mr. C. S. Anderson, best man. Miss Marie Fox entertained at her house party, Miss Eva Lamb of Charleston and Miss Berdger of New York. Miss Lucia Newton has turned over to J R Fox 70 cents toward the library fund. J S Poatell of Tea, visited here town last week. F N Newton, of Dorchester, visited her brother, W J Newton last week. Mr and Mrs M W Clement spent Wednesday evening on Toogoodoo with Mrs C B LaRoche. There seems to be a great deal of sickness around now and our doctor is kept quite busy. Mrs E L Chassereau has been quite ill, but we are glad to report that she seems some better today, and hope she will soon regain her usual health. Magistrate Towles of Meggett was in town Friday. In sick ness she always stood by oar side with willing hand) and anxious heart, ready to help ns in onr afflictions. Bat alas, all this is passed. No dear mother now to help ns, but may the tramp of God soon be beard so we can see her loving face never to part any more.
