L Qriffic. She was a devoted mother, a trne sister and a loving wife. If •he'hatTlived uptil July ^'tb, rite would have been thirty years ol age. Besides a host of relatives and friends she leaves a husband, babe, father and mother and two sisters to mourn her loss. We feel that this commuuilv has lost one of its bright shining lights, and that there can never be.another to fulfill her place. But oh, it is so comforting to 4 the crushed hearts to know . that while ahe was one* suffering, she is now in that beautiful City with her Lord and angels, where she will forever more be. The interment took place at Bella cemetery ou Sunday morning, at 20 o’clock, iu the presence of a host of friends aud relatives. The back window was prized open wifli an axe. The thief entered over the bed into the houre. The axe was thrown down under the window on the ground and the window broke open wa« left wide open, as was the big gate to the yard. Mrs Stanfill will be glad for any information that will lead to conviction of the thief. She feels that as a lone widow she ought to have the pro tection of the county. Chicago’s general cleanup day this year, according to the reports, was a big success. The cleaning of the va cant lots of the city was assigned to the school children, and they went at the job with vigor and enthusiasm. When school adjourned at 3:30 p. in. they were provided by the Janitors of the various schools with the necessary tools, and within an hour the fruits of their laliors were to be seen in huge piles of .waste pajier, tin cans; old shoes and miscellaneous refuse. - Buying From Pictures.
