A Card From E R McTeer
To the voters of Colleton county:
I desire to explain my omission to
make a personal canvass in my race
for clerk. I have been confined to
bed for two weeks and am still un
able to leave my room, having
recently undergone a serious surgi
cal operation.
I wish to say that I am still in the
race and am going to win. While 1
9
can not now do any personal work,
I feel safe to rely on the activity of
my friends and I urge them to do all
they can in my behalf, in a clean,
honest way.
1 will meet the people face to face
on the stump, and am proud of the
political record I shall be able to
present. Yours obediently,
