ficial to the cairiera of the State,
it is a most natural conclusion,
that the National Organization
i^ proportionally helpful. When
we accepted the position of let
ter Darners, we had two objecu
in view, viz; To make it the
very best livelihood possible for
ourselves, and secondly to render
the Government the most ef-
ficieutr service, and we cannot
possibly attain either of these
objects single handedly and sep
arately, in as large a degree as
we can with the united oonnsel
of the brotherhood, hence I urge
that every Oarrier be a member
of the Coorty Aseociation, be
a member of State Association,
and that the State Aseociation,
by all means, be a member of
the National Organisation.
And Mr President, 1 will ask
patrons of my route to please put
tfbxee in suitable places where
f can serve them, tome boxes on
•tumps while other* on the fence.
As ever,

PICNIC AT REHOBOTH.
Round June 16:—The Sundsy
school picnic at Rehoboth Fri
day was a very enjoyable affair.
The children were well trained
jn their exercises thanks to the
efforti^of Miss Ida M Fishburue.
After the exercises dinner was
held, and such a dinner as only
these good people know how to
prepare.
In the afternoon there were
several speeches. J B oodd
spoke on prohibition from a
platform made of the dinner-
table. Rev 8 d Vaughn follow
ed with a ringing speech, and
it was evident that we had the
crowd. But there w*re those
present who could not a^e the
faults of the dispensary as we
see them and they claimed the
right to reply. This made the
debate the least bit sensation
al, but it is generally conceded
that we came off with the best
end of the rope. Crpt H n
Padgett and Hon n L Smith
also spoke in favor of prohibi
tion. Yonrt truly,
J B D.
