Last evening at the hospitable
home of Mr and Mrs F 8 Dixon s
number of their friends gathered to
watch tbs old year pus away. As
the evening flopped its wings in flight
to tbs passing hours the merry
ftrowd began to realise that tbe old
year was lastly approaching an in
stantaneous death.
The centre of pleasure of the even
ing was the old time Virginia Ifeel.
Everyone of tbe g«y oreprd took part.
After this oame music, ringing and
danoing, in which we all indulged
and was hugely enjoyed.
At 11 o’clock the crowd repaired
to tbe dialog room and represented
the old mying: “eat, drink and be
marry fer tomorrow is Nsw Year
Day. It goes without mying that
the enjoyment in ths dining room
was fer enooseded by others.
