There is a God and we know it
and he requires us to worship
him in spirit and in truth and
there is no other way to receive
his blessings. Here is a question
that is hard to solve, Can man
see thw,works of God working
through man when Christian en
mity has come to be a pride all
over the land? Men trying to let
their light so shine that others
may follow their steps with their
hearts full of pride, and men say
ing they’can see the works of God
working through men who are
trying to lead throughoot our
country with their hearts full of

pride. If they will read St. Luke
18-9 14 and remember the Phari

that wc will have to go to god in
humble preyer and leave pride
aside. Can men ever accomplish
anything fer their God and do
anything in the churches until
they lay their l> r ide down?.
Again we find that the people of
oar country aie worshipping their
profession more thnu they wor
ship God. We find our country
growing to ruin every day, more
and more. Wo find that* a man
in hie weak and feeblo way try
ing to worship his God is not
recognized, but if be comes up
with his pride, he is the man and
what is God going to do with the
proud hearts on the last day, or
do you suppose the poor humble
hearts and the proud hearts will
stay together on the last daj?
There will be a division and the
poor and lich, and humble and,
proud will get their justice and
everything will be brought to
justice and every tnan rewarded
according to his deeds.

And every minute and hour is
bringing a man closer to his grave
and judgement day, and men and*
women ought to consider they
have no time to lose to work out
their ralvation. If you will re

shots of the pistols, who is to

for not having the 1 laws of the

our country to pick up grit enough i

They say there is no' harm in
whiskey, when it is 'ending
hundreds of boys astray and get
ting full possesion of hundreds of
men ami causing mothers to weep
over the graves of their drunken*
boys and causing men to drive
away the red rosy cheeks from
their wives and bring their
daughters to shame aud dis
honored, and fathers setliag the
bad example before their boys to
condemn them in the last days.
Men should stop and think that
they have got to give an accout
of all this on the last day, even
every idle word they speak.
