Headquarters, Santa Gians,
North Pole, Dec 18, ’ofl
Editor Tress and Standard:—1
have just read with a great deal of
pleasure your recent letter, in which
you stated that you are going to send
mt a cop? o your paper containing
% number of letters from the boys
and girls among your readers. I am
wy glad to know that your little
friends have taken this method of
Jet.ing me know what they want
for Xmas. It is a i much easier when
1 know what to bring.
As soon as your paper comes I
shall get to work selecting the t ings
your little friends wish. I shall try
io bring each one just what is asked
for, but sometimes you know this is
not iiossible, and some litth* boy or
girl may have usked for something it
would uot do for them or her to have.
1 Shull do the best I can.
■Will you uot do me the kindness
to tay in J<^r paper that I shall come
to every little bov’s or girl’s home
next Tuesday night between dark
and daylight, but tell them all to be*
in bed early and asleep for my rein
deer will uot su p at any house where
anyone for whom I have present is
awake. Tell them also to put their
names on their stocking and hang
them by the side of the chimney, so I
Will have no trouble in finding them.
In conclnsion let me thank you for
yonr interest, and allow me to wish
joti and every one of yonr readers a
Marry Xmas. Very truly yours,
o Santa Claus.
