Rev. J. F. Morrell will preach at the

R. D. Robinson of White Hall paid us
a pleasant visit yesterday.
We were glad to see B. S. Avant of
Ashton, Fla., in town Tuesday.
Mrs J. B. Hickman, and daughter,
Gladys, are visiting at Denmark this
week.
Miss Bessie Mims entertained last
week in honor of her friend, Miss Keels
of Sumter.
Miss Lila Gregory, who has been
visiting in Charleston, returned to her
home in Walterboro.
Miss Ruth Mazyck, of Charleston is
visiting the Misses Wescoat in town
this week.
' Mrs Adams of Bamberg, is visiting
her son, C. D. C. Adams, ini town this

T. P. Murray left Monday morning
for Charleston where he has accepted a
position with the Atlantic Coast Line.

8. G. Price has accepted a position iu
the wheelwright and blacksmith shops
of P. Price, his brother in Barnwell.
He will leave in a few days lor his new
home.
E. L. Cummins of Youngs Island, one
of the progressive citizens and planters
of that neighborhood, was in town

J. B. Black, Jr., cf Port Royal, has
been visiting relatives and frieds in this

to Port Royal Saturday.
Mr and Mrs Jasper M, Smith have
gone to Glenn Springs and to the moun-

Rev. J. L. Daniel will return to
Walterboro this week from Williamston
and will occupy the pulpit at the Metho
dist ohusch Sunday.

Senator N. Christensen, Jr., of Bean-
fort was in town Thursday night in the
interests of the candidacy of I. Fraser
Lyon for attorney general. Mr Chris
tensen is also editor and proprietor of
the Beaufort Gazette, and one of the
brainiest yonng men of the State.
Rev. J. L. Daniel writes from Wil
liamston : "I am here with mr wife,
who has been quite nnwell for several
weeks. W e are here drinking the water.
I expect to retnrn to Walterboro about
