nor will order a special term of the
Criminal Court for Dorchester Coun
ty for the proiecution of Sheriff
Limehouse for allowing the negro
Will Spain, to be lynched there
recently, and to gife the grand jury
a chance to promptly pass upon the
lynching, with aj view to indicting
the leaders. This was a particularly
revolting caae of lynching. Spain was
taken cut and ahot by a party of
white men, because he committed no
gveater offence than looking into the
house of a farmer occupied by the
farmer’s daughter Solicitor Hilde
brand did not disclose the nature of
the eyidence he had, but he seems

story, if he does not get any couyicti-
