Preacher will preach at Shiloh Baptist chnrch on the fourth Saturday and Sunday afternoona at 4 O’clock, Hon. D, B. Savage returned Saturday night from Columbia, where he attend ed the meeting of the Board of Pardons. Wichman on Monday afternoon, the Stf, inst, at 4:80 o'clock. All the members are requested to be present as several very important matters are to be dis- cnsied. Ira J. Price, one of Walter boro’s pros perous and energetic business men, and Miss Jennie Davis, were hsppily married at the home of the bride in Savannah, Sunday, March 4th. The bride is one Savannah’s popular daughters. Mr and Mrs Price left immediately for Walter boro where they will reside. Bishop Ellison Capers, of the South Carolina Diooeee, delivered two eloquent sermons at St. Judes’ church Sunday morning and evening. At the morning service confirmation was administered to five candidates. At 6 o’clock in the afternoon Bishop Capers consecrated the colored Episcopal church. « The Adjutant and Inspector General yill arrive in town Saturday to inspect the military company of Walterboro. This will be ths third inspection that this company has undergone, and we feel proud to say that it b*s passed suc cessfully so far and hope that it will continue to improve. The members of the company are requested to meet at the armory at 9:10 o’clock in full uniform to practice some movements which will be used on Saturday. Font of the Kregg-Jogerson rifles be longing to the Heyward Rifleman, have been taken from the armory, at Walter boro, by some of the members of the company with intention to clean them, and they have neglected to have them returned. We would appreciate very much the men who have these rifles, return them before Saturday (March 24th) as inspection will be held on above date, and these gnus are needed. Signed: E. L. G Calder Robertson, of Great Swamp, and Miss Mamie Herndon, of Walterboro, were happily married last Thursday afternoon at 5.80 o'clock at the residence of J S Griffin, in the presence of a few relatives and friends. The groom is a son of Mr and Mrs Jasper Robertson, of Great Swamp, and is a young man of good character. The bride is a daughter of Joseph Herndon, of Savannah. She is a beautiful young lady and her pleas- ant disposition has won for her many friends. We wish the happy couple a long and prosperonn life. Re? He is above all things a refined hu morist.
