HE above picture of the
man and fish is the trade
mark of Scott’s Eipuleion,
and is the synonym for
strength and purity. It is sold
in almost all the civilized coun
tries of the globe.
If the cod fish became extinct
it would be a world-wide calam
ity. because the oil that comes
from its liver surpasses all other
fats in nourishing and life-giving
properties. Thirty years ago
the proprietors of Scott’s Emul

sod liver oil so that everyone can
take it and get the full value of
the oil without the objectionable

-SIACeN TO HAVE STEAMER LINE
The AlUmaha Transportation Compa
ny Organized. [
Macon, Ga., Jan. 20.—President Em
■ett Small, of the Macon chamber of
Commerce, who has _ returned from
Baxley, where a reorganization of the
Alkunaha Transportation company has
been perfected, and at which time he
was made trafflic manager of the con-
sera. states that Macon Is soon to
onjoy a ilne of steamers, to-be put
en and operated between her and the
aaa. Mne of the principal purposes
in reorganizing was to extend the
steamer service up the Ocmulgee to
Uscon, and no time will be lost in
the enterprise.
The transportation company has
been doing business more thaji a ceq
tufy, and at one time conducted a
prosperous line of steamers from this
cKy to the coast. It was said that
the increase of business nearer the
aoa proved more Inviting, and the traf-
te from Macon was allowed to depre
elate. • Under tbo new charter the
company will start with a capital
stock of «28,000. with a privilege of
toertasing to $280,000. The John L.
Bay Interests In tbs transportation
company recently changed hands, and
the new owners, chief among thym
being C. T. Melton A, Sons, will in
terest themselves with the proposition
of a successful liae of steamers 4o
this point
Macon merenants are highly pleased
with the proposition and have already
pledged themselves to lend every en
couragement to the new movement -
It ia believed that while the line of
steamers will flqd business to amply
pay the promoters, the Central City
will be, greatly benefited by the com-
2sg of this new competitor.

YOUNG MAN KILLED SELF.
Whether the Death of Stovall Was In
tentional or Accidental Unknown.
Augusta. Ga., Jan. 20.—Marcellas
Stovall, one of the city's best known
young men, killed himself at his home
Friday, whether by accident or iaten-
tionally, is not divulged.
There were no eye-witnesses to the
affair.
The report of the pistol brought his
wife and mother to the room where
be was found lying in a pool of blood.
The bullet entered the skull on the
right and ranged upward. Mr. Sto
vall lived half an hour, but wt
regaining consciousness. The fa
incline to-dhe accident theory,'
that there was no known cause why
he should wish to end his life; that
he had said nothing that would indi
cate any such intention, and his busi
ness affairs were in good condition.
Mr. Stovall, who was 28 years of
age, was a son of General Marcellus
A. Stovall, and is survived by his
mother and a bride of a few months,
his romantic marriage having been
one of the sensations of last spring.
