Charleston, Jan. J—The coroner’s
aimual statement,''made up today,
shows that he otliciated in 5t> cases
during the past year, there having
been this number of violent deaths,
wh+ch does not include the many
sudden deaths front natural causes.
There were 24 homicides and two
suicides, both of the latter being of
prominent white citizens. „ Of the
deaths, 30 were accidental. Eight of
the number were killed in the rail
road yards.— The State.
