A special from Marion to the News' lui

Marion county now gets the eak

anything more, so they took Mr. Best k

The search and discovery this

How to Patch Linoleum
v
Is the linoleum in the kitchen j
wearing into holes near the door oi f
under the logs of the table? If it is. ?
try your hand at patching the worn t
places. All that is needed is an odd |,
length of linoleum of the same pattern,
a tube of liquid glue, and a
few braids. First of all take a pencil t
and trace a line around the design s
so that tiie worn area is completely i<
inclosed. Keep to the edges of the "
design an I avoid crossing over the j
light patches of color. f
Then, with the point of a sharo
knife score along the lines indicated

he cut out area, but before doing so
smear ^he edges lightly with liquid <

for lighting a fire.

Eugene O'Brien
Seriously Injured
In Los Angeles >|
Dispatches from Los Angeles Fri- j
day morning indicate that Eugene I
O'Brien is in ? critical condition at!
the Hollywood hospital as the result |
of a serious accident in which he was j
run down by a motor truck.
Mr. O'Brien was walking along the:
roadway on Cahueuga Boulevard, |
near Hollywood, Thursday afternoon
when he was struck. Notified of the
I accident by the driver of the truck
police took Mr. O'Brien to the hospital
for first aid. Following a further j
examination of his injuries surgeons
said the patient was suffering from a
fracture of the skull and possible internal
injuries.
Eugene O'Brien is recognized as the
j most popular lending man on the
screen. When some years ago he sup-'
ported Norma Talmadge in a number
of features, the team gained favor j
eeond to none in pictures. Then came
a starring contract with Selznick for j
O'Brien, which terminated only a few j
months ago.
Almost iimmediately .loseph M.j
Sclienck signed him to play opposite
Norma Talnmdgf in the Robert Hitch- (
oils story, "The Voice From the Minaret,''
and he is now in the midst of
the filming of that picture.
