In Sir Walter Scott's "Marmion" the bafttlements of the Tantallon are the meeting place of Clare and her lover. Around its walls many fierce battles. have been fought. A.'s entertained the convention with special exercises. The hour for R. A. work was in charge of Mrs. E. L. Spears, county association superintendent. The following compose the honor roll of R. A.: Union First. Honorable mention, West Side and Carlisle. The demonstration by the Ambassadors of the Union First proved the wisdom of training our boys for Christian service. Miss Azile Wofford, state superintendent of R. A. work, brought a bright inspiring message of cheer and promise for the development of this phase of the work. She presented numerous methods of arousing interest and assuring success in the work A splendid paper on the subject that we are responsible for offense in dress, speech and deportment umong our young women by Mrs. Jno. T. Scott. In a quiet attitude of prayer we received the obituary report made by Mrs. W. W. Wood. Our loss is their il gain. Death is swallowed up in vic, tory.
