An ostrich lives about .30 years, and
the average annual yield of a bird
in captivity is from two to four
pounds of feathers.
It is said that a well-built chimney
100 feet high will sway from three to
four inches in high wind without danger
of falling.
Kaffirs habitually smoke cigars
with the lighted ends in their mouths
and their tongues adroitly tucked out
of harm's way.
