annual convention and exposition?the
silver jubilee anniversary -of the 1
American Mining Congress will be 1
held in Cleveland's new public hull. ]
October 9 to 14, incusive.
The convention, C. E. Porter, man- !
ager of the convention, said, will bring
approximately 3,500 delegates from
all parts of the United States as well
as Canada, Mexico and Alaskk. Dele- 1
gtions from all important meta and
coal mining districts are planning to
attend, he said. Last year at Chi.ago
39 states were represented among the
delegates and 25 official state delegations
were appointed by governors of
states to attend. <
A large portion of the exposition
will be devoted to public exhibits. The
government will be represented with
exhibits from the U. S. Bureau of
Mines, the U. S. Geological Survey
and the Department of Agriculture.
California, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming;
and Arizona have arranged for dis- ,
plays, Mexico, Cuba, British Col.nubia
and South America will be ionresented.
The Colorado exhibit will cous'sf
largely of radium orand will feat.m
radio activities.
Alaska will have an extensive <1 splay
of its mineral resources.
