of food and feed stuffs, with
every possible natural advantage on

Miss Mahala J. Smith, who has for
several year?; been doing sple idid
work in the county us home demonstration
agent, has promised to give
us full cooperation in the matter of
best methods in cultivating tomatoes
and beans to be used in our cannery.
Mr. Wood, some time ago, made us
the same promise. We will most certainly
need the guidance of experts in
the movement. We feel sure we are
going to succeed, for we intend to

We publish in today's Times the
correspondence between L. J, Hnmes
and Clemson college in relation to the
planting of "birdeye" beans. It is
very probable that Union County soil
will produce these beans in great
quantities. If so, the money for a
crop would far exceed the money from
planting cotton. There is an almost
limitless market for these beuns.
