Whereas, the Great Spirit, in Ilis

From our midst our brother and felow-worker,
Sheriff J. Hay Fant, who
ieparted this life November 11th,
li>21; and whereas, the Pawnee Tribe
>f the Improved Order of Red Men,
has suffered an irreparable loss in
Hie departure of the beloved brother,
whose life was full of sympathy and
activities for "law and order" and for
all other principles upon which Retime.-ship
was founded, therefore be it
res >lved:
1. That we cherish the memory, the
faithful and devoted life and work of
Sheriff Fant as one who 'died, at his
post', and that we consider his life as
a rich gift to our Tribe and to the
cause of humanity.
2. That, while we sincerely regret
md with unfeigned sorrow mourn the
leath of our brother, we bow with
humble submission to the will of our
Heavenly Father, who is too wise to
m i and too good to be unkind.
2. That we extend to the bereaved
wife and children, and to other members
of the family our heart felt sympathy
and commend them to the lovi.i> ;
care of the all-wise Father who is
dile to comfort them in this sad hour
>f their bereavement.
t. That n copy of these resolutions
be spread upon the minutes of our
Iribe, a copy he sent to the family of
our deceased brother and a copy be
sent to The Union Daily Times for
ouHicution.
