BUFFALO DEFEATS UNIOM
In a very snappy game of baseball
last Saturday afternoon,' Buffalo de
feated Union 8 to 0. Both team!
fough hard for the game from starl
to finish, but the Union boys didn't
succeed in getting to third base anj
time during the game. The main features
of the game was the pitching of
Burns for Buffalo, who gave up only
three hits to the hard hitting Unior,
team. Liner swatted the old pill foi
a two sacker while the bases were filled,
and three men crossed the home
plate. Malone also made a very
pretty hit for two bases.
The Buffalo team has done fine
this season, considering the fact that
we are playing entirely on Mill Spirit
and do pot go out and hire a number
of players in order to win a game.
When we play a game the people of
Buffalo are proud of the fact that we
played with Buffalo material and not
with men from several other mills.
If we win we know that it was our
own team that won, and if we lose
we have no excuses to offer.
No man on the Buffalo team receives
a dollar for playing ball, we are playing
for the mill spirit and the sport
that's in it, not for money.
If you want a good clean gam4 of
baseball, where the proper spirit is
shown, come to Buffalo and we will
show you how it is done.
We are ready to challenge any mill
team in volley ball, basket ball for
men, boys and girls; light and feather
weight boxing or any other game that
there is sport in.
Buffalo Team.

Boost your city, boost your friends,
Boost the camp that you attend.
Boost the street on which you're
dwelling;
Boost the coods vou are selling.
Boost the people round about you;
They can get along without you,
But success will quicker find them
If they know you're behind them.
Boost for every forward movement,
Boost for every new improvement.
Boost the man for who you labor,
Boost the stranger and the neighbor.
Cease to be a chronic knocker,
Cease to be a progress blocker.
If you'd make your city better,
Boost it to the final letter and lines
And don't forget to boost The Union
Times.
