The Philanthropist.
* ^
He rises earlv with the sun,
*
Sometimes before the day's begun,
And goes ahead at planting things
And killing weeds and stringing
strings,
For undeveloped views to climb
When they begin to grow with time.
Then -he buys seeds, gets out the hose,
And spades the place until there
grows
Beneath his skill a bunch of stuff,
That's funny looking?just enough
To feed the chicks that wander o'er
From the neighbor's hen yard just
next door. ^ ?C. R. J.
