visit back here.

week for Greenville to attend the
sessions of the South Carolina state
Baptise convention.

and L. B. Fowler were among those
who attended the Methodist conference
sessions in St. George.
?J. E. Steadman and R. C. Hardwick,
Denmark attorneys, were in
Bamberg a while last Friday passing
through on their way to Bhrhardt on
professional business.

Rihoad, Sr., were Bamberg delegates
who attended the recent South Carolina
conference of the Methodist
Episcopal church held in St. George.
?Mrs. J. J. Cudd and little dauigh- j
ter, Aline, of Spartanburg, after
spending some time with relatives in
Bamberg, left by automobile Sunday
for their hopie, accompanied by Mr.
Cudd.
?Mrs. W. A. Moore and Mr. and
Mrs. B.- F. Moore returned to their
homes in McColl Monday after a visit
to Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Smoak, of Bamberg,
and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Cope,
of Cope.
?Miss Harrie Delle Free, who for
several weeks has been at her home
here on account of injuries sustained
in an automobile accident, left Sunday
morning to resume her duties as
teacher in Georgia.
Suffers a Broken Leg.
Little Arthur Kirsch Bruce, the
seven-year-old son of Mr. and -Mrs.
Edwin Curtis Bruce, Sr., of Bamberg,
suffered a peculiar and serious accident
Monday afternoon. His father
and mother were in a buggy driving
along Main street near their home
and little Arthur with two other little
boys were riding on the back of

Arthur's feet became in some way
