MRS. G. E. HUTTO.
After a'lingering illness of many
5 weeks, Mrs. G. E. Hutto entered into
eternal rest on September 28th at hei
home in Bamberg, S. C.
5 Her death occurred on her 66th
birthday. All that loving hearts,
' willing hands and skilled physicians
could do, was done, but .she grew
5 steadily weaker, passing peacefully
1 into the great beyond.
T Before her marriage Mrs. Hutto
was Miss Nancy Folk. Her husband
I and two grown sons were claimed by
, death several years ago. She indeed
E had knowm much sorrow, but gave
J liberally of lov^ and comfort to oth|
ers. Her life wTas enriched by many
rj charitable deeds?her love for chil)
dren finding expression in the care
. of a number of motherless ones,
some of whom, nowr grown to manhood
and womanhood, sorrowfully
- gathered to pay a last tribute to her
j memory. Of these, Mr. Victor Behre,
A of Raleigh, N. C., wTho had known her
^ i motherly care, Mrs. John Schwarting,
3i'an adopted daughter, Misses Edith
r | and Hughie Hutto, who were as her
. | own children, will sorely miss her
("wise counsel, gentle companionship
; and unfailing love. An only son, Mr.
John Henry Hutto, upon whom she
II leaned in her declining years, a sister,
. Mrs. Rosa Jones, of Walterboro, her
two brothers, Messrs. Tom Folk,
I of Estill, and John Folk, ol
> i Branchville, mourn her loss. Among
-1 the bereaved are many near relatives
| and a number of grand children. The
family has the sympathy of this com3
munity in which she lived her entire
t life.
II Funeral services were conducted by
Rev. Geo. P. White, of the Bamberg
' Baptist church, assisted by Rev.
1 Owings, of Ehrhardt, at the cemetery
i of the old Lutheran church near
1 Ehrhardt. Beautiful floral offerings
, and many tokens of sympathy spoke
eloquently of the esteem in which
1 she was held.
r She has only passed irom our saa
1 hearts
To her Savior's loving breast,
From a home below to Heaven above;
- 1 From toils, to peace and rest.
