Cotton Report Issued, \
The census bureau of the depart- |
ment of agriculture has just issued p
its preliminary report of cotton ginn- If
ings to September 1, 1920. The num- I
ber of bales ginned in Bamberg coun- I
tv is 64, compared with 1.706 to the I
same*date last year. };i
The opening of the cotton crop is j If
considerably later this year than last, I i
although since the date of the report.! I
most farmers are of the belief that; i
the bulk of the crop has opened. The
fields of the county are now white' 8
with the fleecy staple, and it is like-j h
ly that the next report will show up |
much better.
