Thursday, April 22,1920. NEWS FROM EHRHARBT. Items of Interst From Our Neigliboring Little City. Ehrhardt, April 19.?In spite of the News and 'Courier prediction of "fair and warm weather" it continues cold and rainy. Saturday was the first spring-like weather we have had. Last week when there was frost on the ground several mornings, what do we see but a man rigged up with fishing tackle "goin' fishin," and when he came back he presented 16 fine Molly perches to his old woman for Jhis day's effort. He would not say where he caught them, but we will watch him next time and find out this fish hole. Why not search Hartz's branch for a tussic liquor still? We find in traveling from Ehrhardt to Bamberg via motor cars, that the worst places in the road are just as one enters each town; guess this is allowed as a sfreed breaker. Dan Price, while crankink his \ car last week had the misfortune to break his right arm. Dan used some S*' -v.' powerful language while the doctor was giving him medical atention. Some excitementi n town Saturday afternoon when Lee Brown and Robert Razor created a spat. Brown struck Razor on the head with a base ball bat and if he had hit just a littie harder he would have knocked a home run. In time Razor hit Brown / with a brick or piece of concrete in the face and eye.' Both had to have , medical attention. Brown is a white man while Razor is a negro. Is it unlawful to manufacture $nd ' sell liquor? The city is now enjoying plenty of light and power. The Ehrhardt Mfg. company is supplying the current, and j the residences of the city are being wired. At present current is furnishv": ed at night only, but it is understood .
