There are several thousand reservists in the states of Georgia and South Carolina who were released from service without having been confirmed in their rating, and these cruises are offered particularly to * these men in order that they ma) qualify for confirmation and draw the two months base pay each year as a retainer pay. The reserves who desire to make this trip will be recalled to active duty and furnished transportation to Charleston where they will go on board the destroyers. At the end of the cruise they will be furnished return transportation and will be given the full sea pay for their rank for the time on duty. Those interested are urged to write the commandant as soon as possible , what dates will be best suited for the i trip, giving a statement as to what qualifications, if any, the applicant has for duty on board ship.
