CONSUMERS.
The Commissioners of Public
Works have been having considerable
trouble in regard to the settlement
by patrons of electric light and water
accounts, and this is to give notice
that beginning this month all water
and light bills not paid by the last
iay of the month following service
will subject the consumer to a discontinuance
of service. Ten per cen<t.
Jiscount is given on all bills paid on
ar before the tenth of the month following
service.

NOTICE OF ELECTION.
tn Town of Ehrhardt to Approve
Granting of Franchise to Ehrhardt
Manufacturing Company to Install
and Operate a Telephone Plant and
System in the Town of EhrhJardt.
The Town Council of the town of
Ehrhardt, S. C., having passed an
ordinance granting a franchise to the
Ehrhardt Manufacturing Company to
install and operate a telephone plant
and system within the town of Ehrhardt
with exclusive rights, for a period
of twenty-five years, the original
af which ordinance can be seen by
applying to the clerk of the Town
Council, it is hereby ordered that the
approval of said franchise, so grantad,
be submitted to the qualified votars
of the town of Ehrhardt, and that
an election for that purpose he held
in the town of Ehrhardt, at the Town
Hall, on the 16th day of Decern oer,
1919; and the following named persons
are hereby appointed as managers
of election, viz: F. H. Copeland,
Frank Hiers, and J. F. Chassereau,
and it is further ordered that the
polls of said election shall be opei?
at 8 o'clock a. m. and close at 4
o'clock p. m.,. on said day; at said
election only qualified voters of the
said town, as determined under the
laws of this State shall be allowed to
vote, and the election shall be conducted
as required under the laws
pf this State, in "such cases made and
provided. Those approving the granting
of said franchise will vote "for
franchise," and those opposed to said
franchise will vote "against franchise;"
printed or written ballots
may be used. The managers will
conduct said election as required by
[aw, tabulate the vote and make a
report to the Town Council in writing.

town of Ehrhardt, S. C., this the 8th
