last week from Beaufort, where
they spent a few days visiting relatives.

. Baptist Pastor Resigns.
Williston, Feb. 2S.?The Rev. W.:
M. Jones, D. D., who?has for more
than IS years been pastor of the
Williston Baptist church, has resigned
and will take charge of the Barnwell
Baptist church about March 15.
His resignation was offered Decern-,
ber 15, when he was requested to
reconsider his action.
After mature reflection, Dr. Jones
felt that a larger work awaited him
in his new field. By a standing
vote, the congregation passed resolntinns
nn his loner and faithful min
istry with them. His pastorate here
has been notable not only for its du- j
ration which has been far above the j
average, but also for the continued i
religious and material developments'
of this church. |
