Riley, of Orangeburg, was among the visitors in the city Monday. ?Mr. Charles Strom, of McCor. mick, spent the week-end in the city with relatives. ?Lieut. C. 0. Kirsch left a few days ago. for Camp Gordon, Ga.-, where he has been assigned for duty. ?Mr. M. A. Moye, of Fairfax, spent a few days in the city this week with Mr. and Mrs. J. T. O'Neal. ?Mr. Charli^ Wiggins, of Brunswick, Ga., is spending some time in the city with his xpother, Mrs. H. M. Wiggins. ?Mrs. J. D. Copeland, Jr., and children have returned to the city after a stay of several weeks in the mountains. ?Mrs. J. E. Salley and two children, of Orangeburg, spent several days in the city recently with Mrs. W. E. Free. ' ?Lieut. W. M. Brabham, Jr., left last week for Camp Wadsworth, where he has been assigned to military service. ?Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Cudd and little daughter have returned to Spartanburg, after a visit to relatives in the city. ?Mrs. W. E. Spann and Mrs. 0. A. Simmons left a few days ago for a visit of a few weeks to relatives in Alabama and Florida, i ?Miss Ethel Strom, of McCormick, is spending^, few days in the city before leaving for Winthrop college to resume her studies. ?Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Nicholls are spending some time in the city. They expect to go to Orangeburg in a few days, where they will reside for the present. * ?Mr. Walter Mears, representing Sprunt & Co., well known cotton dealers of North Carolina, arrived in the city Saturday. Mr. Mears will buy cotton on the Bamberg market this season. ? ?Mr. W. C. Whitesides, the popular cotton buyer, is back in Bamberg again. Mr. Whitesides was formerly a regular buyer on the Bamberg market, but was not here last season. His friends are glad to welcome him to town again.
