Lfuuuvau^uu vuuuo vjl ? ***v
near here yesterday found the lowei
half of a woman's body in a weighted
sack in a water hole near the grounds
according to word received today bj
Sheriff Milton C. Miller, of Wayne
county.
The legs of the body had been saw2d
in two at the knees, and indications
were that the body had been in the
water for several weeks.
When discovered by Martin the
sack containing the dismembered
parts was floating on top of the water
after having rotted away from
the weights. A woman's hat was
found in the sack.
Sheriff Miller left for Smithville
this afternoon to drag the water hole
in an effort to find the other half
of the body.

i James F. Bvmes, conjgressman
from the second
congressional district, has
been reelected by a safe majority
on the first ballot over
all other candidates. Early

the district. He received a
majority in many of the
counties, and full returns
Hiav show that he carried
every county against an opponents.
In Aiken county, the home

Byrnes received a most flattering
vote, and that the people
of the district have the
utmost confidence in the second

has been fully
demonstrated.
It is estimated that less
