Will Get Nitrate Soon.
It is expected that the farmers will
begin receiving the government nitrate
of soda now soon. It was announced
a few days ago from Washington
that the farmers will be no/I

of agriculture, instead of through the
county agents, as first contemplated.
Upon notice from Washington the
farmers are to make payment for
their pro rata share of the nitrate
and when this notice is received the
shipment of nitrate may he expected
to follow immediately.
Requisition was made for a large
amount of nitrate of soda by the
planters of Bamberg county. It is
probable that the allotment to this
county will be considerably short of
the amount desired, as there were
only 100,000 tons in the government
supply.
