The sick folks in this community are very much better at this writing. A goodly number of young folks dined at the home of .Mr. R. F. Kirkland Sunday. Messrs. F. W. .McMillan and Reuben Kearse left Monday morning for Columbia to work for the government. All the members who are inter ested in the Colston church are requested to meet Friday morning o: this week to clean up the grounds. Protracted services will begin at Colston on the filth Sunday ai'ternoon. Everybody is invited to attend. .Colston. July 25.?.Miss Alberta Kearse entertained a party of young people at her home .Monday evening, July 23. in honor of her 17th birthday. The time was pleasantly spent in conversation and yard games until supper time: then all assembled on the back porch and delightful cream and cake was served. me guests were then invited to the parlor and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing.
