South Carolina. i Be it ordained by the .Mayor and the Councilmen of the town of Bam-! berg, in Council assembly, and by the ! authority of the same: Section 1. The owner, operator. I driver, or person in ciiarge of any car, ! dray, wagon carriage, buggy, motor- j cycle, bicycle, tricycle, cart, automo- j bile, or any other kind of conveyance on the streets of the town of Bamberg. shall conform to and observe the following rules and regulations j upon all such streets, alleys, avenues. ! boulevards, parks, roads and public j nlaces in said city. j Section 2. The driver or person in control of a vehicle in slowing or stopping, shall signal those in the rear by raising whip or hand. Section 3. Xo vehicle shall be turned unless a signal previously be given by the whip or hands, indicating the direction in which the turn i* to be made. Section 4. Xo person in control of a vehicle shall back the same without ample warning having been given; and while backing, care must be exercised not to injure those in the rear. Section 5. Vehicles shall not stop on "cross walks, so as to interfere with the passage of pedestrians. Section 6. Vehicles shall be driven in a careful manner and with due regard for the safety and convenience of pedestrians and all other vehicles Section 7. Vehicles moving slowly shall keep as close as possible to the curb on the right, allowing more swiftly moving vehicles free passage to the left. , Section 8. A vehicle meeting another shall pass to the right. Section 9. A vehicle overtaking another shall pass on the left side of the overtaken vehicle, and not pull over to the right until entirely clear of it. Section 10. A vehicle turning into another street to the right shall turn thp. rorner as near to the right hand curb as possible. Section 11. A vehicle when turning to the left to enter an intersecting street, shall not turn until it shall have passed beyond the center of such intersecting street. I Section 1$. Xo vehicle shall' be turned around upon any of the main streets, unless said vehicle shall proceed to the next cross street, and shall make the turn to the left, after reaching the center of said cross street. Section 13. Xo vehicle shall stop with its left side to the curb on any i of the main streets. Section 14. Xo vehicle, unless in emergency, or to allow another vehicle or pedestrian to cross its path, shall stop in the street except near the right hand curb thereof, and so as not to obstruct a crossing. Section 15. Xo vehicle shall he left standing in front of, or within twenty-five feet of either side of the entrance of any theatre, or church, except when taking in or when discharging passengers or freight, and then only for such length of time as is necessary for simh purpose, j Section 16. Xo vehicle shall stand within the intersection of any streets ! or within ten feet from the iotersect| ing bread way. [ .Section 17. I Section 20. No vehicle shall be {left standing in a street or alley at night without light or lights, so displayed as to be visible from any direction. Section 21. A vehicle shall remain backed up to a curb only long enough to be loaded or unleaded. Section 22.
