It is to be hoped that the spirit
evident at the meeting of citizens the

Bamberg among the people who believe
in the observance of law. And
let the movement apply not only to
the prohibition law, but to all forms
of vice, whatever they may be.
The ''preparedness" and the "antipreparedness"
forces are having a
merry tme of it in Washington. Bry"
< an, Ford, and a few other influential
men, are opposed to a bigger army
or navy, on the ground that it will
invite war. That idea might be correct
if the millenium were in existence,
but as long as world-wide greed
and thirst for power influence the
powers behind the thrones of so many
countries, we need a navy and an
army strong enough and big enough
to combat any nation on the other
side of the Atlantic or Pacific.
The dispensary is dead, after an
existence of nearly twenty-five years.
