Day.) The paper was generally signed,

Bamberg county up to November j
1st of this year is 20,155 bales, as ^
against 13,748 for the same period R
last year. Taking these figures as a R
basis, it appears that Bamberg coun- n

ty willl raise this year something like ^
28,000 bales of cotton, as there must g
have been ginned at least 4,000 or F
5,000 bales since the above figures
were secured. ^
Mr. R. C. Mixson was in town dur- pj
ing the past week making a survey A
of the town. This survey was made j
necessary, as there was some doubt g
as to the exact limits of the town, H
and in order that the question of H
taxation of some property might be A
finally settled. Markers showing the ^
limits of the town will no doubt be
erected, so that there will be no question
hereafter. O
The circus certainly brought a 18tl
large crowd of people to town, yet the
it was the most orderly crowd * we j her
ever saw. There was no "drunken- mar
ness of any consequence, the crowd Cha
was entirely orderly in every way, ges
and there was not a single arrest T
made during the day, although there blue
were a number of extra policemen mat
on duty. The dispensary was closed, diar
and there was no illegal selling of a gi

The musical concert given at Car- ineE
lisle School auditorium last Thurs- ^
day evening was well attended and P?P
was a success in every way. The ver3
musical club recently organized as- frie:
sisted largely in the entertainment, ^
and shows that the club will be a

was given to raise funds for furnishtabl
ing the lobby of the new dormitory

John Green, one of the most highly pris

Itestland Cemetery.
For many years all those who have
